Nielsen earns All-State football honors
Whitefish senior fullback Jeremy
Nielsen was selected for both the All-State and All-Conference
football teams in the Class A league. He was one of 68 players
voted to the All-State team by Class A coaches, and was the only
Bulldog to make the team.
“Coaches commented about how big he
played for his size,” Whitefish football coach Chad Ross said. “No
one on the team worked as hard as he did and it’s rewarding to see
that pay off.”
Nielsen was Whitefish’s leading rusher,
with 578 yards and seven touchdowns. The 160-pound senior also got
the nod for the All-Conference first team as a free safety on
defense. He is looking to play collegiate-level football or
baseball after graduation.
Whitefish junior Chris Forrest earned
first team All Conference honors for his play at the wide receiver
position. He tallied 476 yard and three touchdowns.
