Still time for summer fun

The end is near. The majority of the Bigfork Summer Playhouse cast members have left to head back to their schools and homes. It's starting to feel cooler and the first group of Bigfork area students return to school next week.

Summer, the favorite season of the Village, is drawing to a close. But, there's still time to cram in those last quintessential Bigfork activities to complete your summer.

Get in some time at the Village's waterways by floating the Swan River or swimming at Wayfarers State Park.

Spend an afternoon strolling Electric Avenue without needing a jacket or umbrella.

Enjoy live music at a variety of local venues, including some outdoor locations.

Get outside when the sun shines with a round of golf at Eagle Bend Golf Club or a hike in the Swan Range.

Check out a playhouse show. Even though the regular season is over, the remaining show, "Tom Foolery," opens today and runs for the next two weekends.

And, never fear. Even though the summer season might be approaching its end, there are still lots of things to do in the Village. Keep an eye on event listings, including our community section, to see what's up next (See A8 in this week's print edition).
