A complaint may have been filed against Judge Bradley Johnson of Whitefish. The event was described in the newspapers last week. This complaint followed Johnson's reporting on an event to the Columbia Falls police.

I was not a witness, but I would like to be on record in support of Johnson in what may have been a confrontation based on a difficult personality and a misperception.

I am a friend of his, but I think a dispassionate one, and I cannot consider the charges credible in the context of Johnson's well-known character, temperament and professional behavior. He is a kind and compassionate man of humane disposition and an open heart. His court enjoys a reputation of fairness.

On the other hand, let me tell you that I live in Columbia Falls and frequently visit the post office where the alleged incident occurred, and I can attest that on more than one occasion I have witnessed confrontations generated by unusual personalities.

Thank goodness we live in a society where lawyers in a court of law can adjudicate such matters.
