The Boys and Girls Club holds a Youth Night on Thursdays at Glacier Discovery Square. It’s a safe and fun place for youth to hang out. Middle school kids are welcome from 5 to 7 p.m. and high school age from 7 to 9 p.m. There is no cost.

The Columbia Falls Finance Department at City Hall will be closed Thursday, May 6 and Friday, May 7 for electrical work. Payments may be placed in drop boxes in front of City Hall or by the police station.

Saturday

A walking group meets Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Imagine Health. Walk for one hour, rain or shine. Route varies weekly and folks set their own pace. For more information, call 892-4406.

The Northwest Montana Gold Prospectors Spring Kick Off is Saturday, May 8, at 10 a.m. The free event, which is open to the public, will feature demonstrations, a raffle, games for kids, a metal detector contest, panning contests and a potluck meal at noon. The “Tunes and Testimony” reunion concert is Sunday, May 9 at 6 p.m. at Canyon Community Church in Coram. Pastor Ken Ainsworth will be joined by bassist Steve Walser, guitarist Bob Waltrip, guitarist/vocalist Karon Carrol, Vocalist Debbie Rowe, and keyboardist/vocalist Marion Massey. Admission is free.

The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly lunch meeting on Tuesday, May 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Valley Hospital Community Room. Cost is $10. May is tourism celebration, bring brochures to share.

The Columbia Falls City Court will be closed on Tuesday, May 11. The staff will be attending spring conference while electrical work is completed in the Court. Normal court hours will resume Wednesday, May 12.
