Local runners at Boston marathon

Former Whitefish High School standout runner Claire Anderson posted the top time in the Boston Marathon on April 19 among women from Montana.

Anderson, 26, finished in 3:17.54, good enough for 4,150th overall and 446th among women.

Suzanne Hildner, 55, also of Whitefish, crossed the finish line in 5:13.10, which was 21,888th overall and 9,157th among women.

Fifty-two runners from Montana competed in the annual marathon.
