Music and mingling

Last week I was invited to a wonderful event in Bigfork.

It was a benefit for the Violence Free Crisis Line and The Abbie Shelter. Steve Prunty and Kati Knutson provided wonderful music while there was great conversation.

The owners of the Coffee Cellar provided a wonderful setting for people to gather and raise money for the Violence Free Crisis Line and the Abbie Shelter.

For a minimal fee that was all donated to the Abbie Shelter, guests could taste new wines, other beverages and great appetizers. The evening was graciously hosted by the Coffee Cellar and Montana Build.

This was a wonderful evening and was able to raise money for a great organization in our community. The event was such a success that it was named “Music and Mingle for the Abbie Shelter.”

There will be several more “Music and Mingle” events coming up through out the valley so watch for notices.

Domestic violence is a very real issue in the Flathead Valley. In 2009, the VFCL assisted 1,250 individuals.

The Abbie Shelter provided safety for 86 women and 68 children who were fleeing domestic violent situations.

This is a great way to spend an evening and help raise money for a great organization.

Thanks so much to Jenn Prunty from Montana Build, who was the driving force behind putting this great event together.

Thanks to all who came to make it a great evening.
