Richard Timlick

Richard "Papa Dick" Timlick, 65, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2009, at Health Center Northwest in Kalispell, with his loving family by his side. He had been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor on Feb. 22, 2009. He was born on May 14, 1943 in Rolla, N., the son of James Robert and Ella Louise (Wicks' Timlick.

His family moved to Kalispell in 1946. He attended schools in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead County High School in 1961. He also met Judy in 1961 and they were married on June 14, 1963.

Richard worked at filling stations, Circle K, the meat packing plant, did construction, and had 30-plus years at Columbia Falls Aluminum Co.

He belonged to the Glacier Street Rod Association and made many friends through all the Rod Runs he attended. His love of the outdoors was known by all. His favorite place was Duck Lake where he loved to ice fish, watch the sun come up in the east and the sun sitting over Big Chief Mountain, but the biggest love in his life were his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents in 2003. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Timlick of Kalispell; daughter Cindy Steele and her husband Rod of Florence, Colo.; son Ronnie Timlick and his wife Cheri of Kalispell; nine grandchildren, Alyssa and Delaney Steele, John Danielson and Britanni Danielson, Zane Timlick, Macey Timlick, Brandi, Shaye and LeeAnn; five brothers, Jim and Annie Timlick of Kent, Wash.; Ben and Cheryl Timlick of Kalispell; Tom and Kendyl Timlick of Elmo; Fred and Marie Timlick of Kalispell, and Jay Timlick and wife Shelly of Coram; sister Betty Jones of Kalispell; and numerous other relatives.

Memorial services for Dick will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Easthaven Baptist Church on Whitefish Stage Road with Pastor Daniel Lambert officiating. Urn burial will follow services at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Following the graveside service, there will be a celebration of his life held at 1855 Trumble Creek Road in Kalispell.
