Glenn Shepard

Glenn Jay Shepard, 59, died Thursday, June 18, 2009, as a result of a four-wheeler accident near Hungry Horse. He was born to Harold and Sadie (Fox) Shepard on Oct. 30, 1949, in Polson.

He attended Flathead High School, graduating in 1969, and Cheyenne Aero Tech School in Cheyenne, Wyo., from 1989 to 1990.

Glenn found no greater joy than being in the outdoors with his family, whether they were hunting, camping, fishing or cutting wood. Serving his Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, was very important to Glenn.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Sadie Shepard; brothers, Billy, Jesse and Darrel; and sisters, Nancy and Bonnie.

He is survived by two daughters, Avangala Tomlanivich and her husband, Andy, and Amanda Shepard and Tim Cikauskas, all of Columbia Falls; two sons, Nathan Shepard and his wife, Jessa, of Billings and Micah Shepard and his wife, Lisa, of Hungry Horse; eight grandchildren, Kasey and Lane, Kali, Malachi and Levi, Dakota, Wyatt and Haylee; three brothers, Ken Shepard and his wife, Kaye, of Kalispell, Kent Shepard of Havre, and Keith Shepard of Kalispell; and three sisters, Joan Pomeroy and her husband, Asa, of Kalispell, Joyce DeWitt of Foyl, Okla., and Iona Luce and her husband, Jerry, of Columbia Falls.

Memorial services for Glenn were held Wednesday, June 24 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 195 Veterans Drive in Columbia Falls. There will be a private burial at a later date.
