Columbia Falls man dies in ATV accident

A Columbia Falls man died after being thrown from an ATV on the westside Hungry Horse Dam road.

Glenn Shepard, 59, was riding along an old logging road Thursday, June 18 when he was thrown from his ATV – striking his head on the ground, according to the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.

The incident occurred about 18 miles up the west side Hungry Horse Dam road. CPR was initiated, but Shepard was pronounced dead at the scene.
