Sue Libby

Sue Libby, 76, peacefully lost her eight-year battle with congenital heart disease July 19, 2009. She was born in Wenatchee, Wash., April 24, 1933.

Sue moved to the Bad Rock Canyon area in 1962, where she and her late husband owned and operated the Middlefork Motel. Later Sue moved to the Whitefish area, then returned to Hungry Horse where she resided until her passing.

She enjoyed music, art, gardening and sewing for her family. She also was a builder, remodeling and constructing her homes. She loved stone masonry. Sue implemented her crafts into every home she made. She always had a beautifully landscaped yard with rock flower gardens.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; son Michael Pointec; daughter Sandra Pointec; daughter in-law Jennifer Evans; and former husbands Stan Pointec and Roger Hale.

She is survived by husband Roger Libby; sons Dan Pointec, Roger Hale Jr., Neil Hale, Robert Zunick and their wives and families; daughter Kathie Salandi and her husband and family; sisters Sally Lloyd and Sandra Woodruff and their families; brothers Raymond Thomas Woodruff III and Robert Couch and their families; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at the Hungry Horse Chapel on Friday, July 24 at 1 p.m. A potluck dinner at 629 1st Ave. WN in Hungry Horse follows the service.
