Kenneth Ritter

Kenneth G. Ritter, 69, died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at his home in Columbia Falls. He was born at Sidney on March 20, 1940, the son of George and Gertrude Ritter. The family moved to Great Falls when he was a young boy where they had lived at the Great Falls Meat Packing Plant. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.

Following his honorable discharge, he worked in accounting in the San Francisco bay area. He married Gale Richardson in 1970 and they purchased a ranch near Medford, Ore., where they remained until coming to Columbia Falls in 1976. Kenneth had been the local distributor for the Great Falls Tribune and the Wall Street Journal as well as working with an electrician. He enjoyed working outside as well as camping and RVing in the winter months.

Survivors include his wife, Gale R. Ritter; daughters Cindy Ritter (Gregory Wright) and Teri Ritter; and a sister, Phyllis Farrell (David).
