Quarry locally

I noticed in one of the articles on the proposed construction of the new emergency building for Whitefish, it was stated that the stone for the building could be found at a Spokane, Wash., quarry.
It would be my hope that extra effort would be made to find a Flathead Valley quarry and business to supply the stone, so as to put local labor to work.
Some difference in the texture and color of the stone between a Spokane quarry and a local quarry should not make any difference in the function or beauty of the building.
