Wildkats sweep Libby, Polson while boys split; Mat Cats go 2-4 at Ronan

Columbia Falls swept Libby and Polson in varsity girls basketball last weekend to open the Northwestern A Conference season. The Wildkats beat Libby 40-33 Friday (Dec. 9) in Libby, and rolled past Polson 55-40 Saturday in Columbia Falls.

The CFHS varsity boys split their games last week. The Wildcats breezed by Libby 57-34 Thursday (Dec. 8) at CFHS, but lost 62-60 Saturday at Polson.

On the high school wrestling mat, Columbia Falls won two of six match-ups in the Western Montana Duals last weekend at Ronan. The Mat Cats recorded wins over St. Ignatius/Mission/Charlo and Florence, and were outscored by the Flathead JV, Glacier, Corvallis and Frenchtown.
