Thanks for help

A big thank you to all who came out Super Bowl Sunday morning and helped take down and store the city Christmas decorations.

Al Thorson and Dan Rowe of Flathead Electric Cooperative, Terry Conat of Rocky Mountain Painting and the city crew all were key with their bucket trucks in getting things down in good order, so the ground crews could dismantle, load up and store items at the Armory.

Special thanks to Mrs. Kuennen’s high school honor society, who made light work with their strong effort and are so key to our success every year.

The “old faithful” who came to help included the town mayor, the banking community leadership, a physician, real estate sellers, a hardware store owner and several other unnamed civic-minded citizens. Thank them when you see them, for without their volunteer spirit and effort, Whitefish would be very different during the holiday season.

And thanks to all the volunteers who came on Wednesday nights last fall to refurbish all our decorations for the season. By my estimate, this whole effort requires about 1,100 volunteer man-hours for a single season. You are appreciated.
