Robert Search

Former Whitefish resident Robert Leroy Search, 84, died Feb. 9, 2009, at Pioneer Manor in Gillette, Wyo.

He was born in Whitefish on June 23, 1924, and spent his school-age years in Hot Springs. He moved back to Whitefish in 1955 to work on the railroad. He was employed by Burlington Northern Railroad until he retired in 1982.

He is survived by his former wife Wilma Search, of Gillette, Wyo.; sister Marg Walters, of Burnsville, N.C.; sister Hazel Rada, of Trout Creek; daughter Wanda Hall, of San Antonio, Texas; daughter Cindy Perry, of Billings; daughter Robin England, of Whitefish; son John Search, of Sandpoint, Idaho; and daughter Ida Hamilton of Gillette, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

A family memorial service will be held in the summer.
