Robert Stanton

Robert Stanton, 69, of Columbia Falls died on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at the Community Hospital in Anaconda.

Robert was born on Aug. 23, 1939, to Harold and Isabelle (Martin) Stanton in Waukesha, Wis. The family moved to Montana in 1942 and they settled in Swan Lake. Robert attended first grade there and he then attended schools in Bigfork and Kalispell where he finished school.

He spent time in the service and following his discharge, he hit the rodeo circuit and then ended up working in Glacier Park packing and guiding.

Robert is survived by his wife, Vicki of Columbia Falls; son, Rex Stanton of Sparks, Nev.; brothers, Eugene Stanton of Kalispell, and Lloyd Stanton of Polson; and sister, Marion Fairbanks of Columbia Falls.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Dlorah.

Memorial services will be scheduled at later date.

Longfellow Finnegan Funeral Home of Anaconda is entrusted with his funeral arrangements.
