The Columbia Falls boys basketball team will put its perfect record to the test in January — and nearly all of it will be on the road.

The team will open its away stint against AA Big Sky Jan. 2, then travel to Libby Jan. 7, Eureka Jan. 8, Ronan Jan. 15, Glacier Jan. 22 and Missoula Loyola Jan. 23. The team stops at home Jan. 16 to play Whitefish at 4 p.m. Jan. 16. The schedule has the game listed as an away game, but it’s at home, said coach Cary Finberg.

Conversely, the 2-3 girls play most of their games at home in January. Varsity opens with Big Sky at home at 4 p.m. Jan. 2, then play Eureka Jan. 7, Libby Jan. 8, Ronan, Jan. 15 before traveling to Whitefish Jan. 16 for a 6 p.m. game.

The girls wrap up the month away against Glacier Jan. 22 but return home for Loyola Jan. 23 and Thompson Falls Jan. 28.

The wrestling team also has a three-week road tour. They’re in Ronan Jan. 8-9 for a tournament, then Missoula for the Rocky Mountain Classic Jan. 15-16.

The wrestlers swing through their home gym Jan. 21 in a dual against Ronan, then go back on the road Jan. 26 and Jan. 28 against Polson and Libby respectively before a home tournament Jan. 30.
