The Columbia Falls Lions Club meets at 6:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays each month at the Back Room, in the same building as the Nite Owl Restaurant. Contact a Lions Club member for information about joining the organization.

Farmer’s Market in Columbia Falls continues today (Thursday) at Glacier Discovery Square in Columbia Falls. Hours are 5 to 7:30 p.m. As many as 60 vendors will offer food, produce and arts and crafts. Tra La Gael will be featured on the South Stage. The four-piece string, wind and vocal ensemble plays Celtic-inspired music. The Canyon Creek Rambers perform on the North Stage. They are known for their “hippie-tonk from the mountains” music. Los Caporales Mexican Restaurant is the market sponsor.

Glacier Bank in Columbia Falls will host a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 822 Nucleus Ave. There will be free hot dogs, hamburgers and cake, and everyone is welcome to attend.

The West Glacier Farmer’s and Artisan’s Market is featured every Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is located at the West Glacier Mercantile west side parking lot on Going-to-the-Sun Road.

Columbia Falls and Whitefish Masonic lodges will hold a joint installation of officers Saturday, Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Masonic Temple in Columbia Falls, located at 11 5th St. W. (the corner of Fifth and Nucleus). The installation will involve Masonic Lodge No. 89 in Columbia Falls and Masonic Lodge No. 64 in Whitefish. The public is invited to attend.

Western Skies Movie, local women star in the 30-minute short, silent film, will be played Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 8 p.m. at 3380 Columbia Falls Stage Road at the Red Barn. Bring your own lawn chair, free with donations accepted.
