The Alpine Theatre Project will present “The World Goes ‘Round” at the Whitefish Middle School auditorium through Aug 23 with an evening of Broadway hits by composer John Kander and lyricist Fred Ebb. No one has written more showstoppers than Kander and Ebb, whose memorable songs include “All That Jazz,” “Maybe This Time,” “Cabaret,” “How Lucky Can You Get” and “New York, New York.” The World Goes ‘Round is a song and dance revue celebrating the most exciting duo in show biz history. The song and dance revue was directed by Betsi Morrison and choreographed by DJ Salisbury and stars Betsi Morrison, Aaron Ramey, Alexis Sims, Elisa Van Duyne and Luke Walrath. Shows are at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays and 6 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $12 through $37. For more information, call 862-7469 or visit online at www.alpinetheatreproject.org.

Flathead Valley Community College Theatre will present the satire “Dracula: The Musical?” Written by Rick Abbot, the story can be compared to Bram Stoker’s version with added white nightgowns, lunatics, a husband-hunting former chorus girl, terrible puns, a load of raucous and silly music and a few villagers in lederhosen wrapped up in a classic long black satin cape. The show’s director, Linnea Springer, put together a cast from all across the Flathead Valley community. Performances will take place in the FVCC Black Box Theatre, inside the Arts and Technology Building on the college’s Kalispell campus, on Aug. 13-15 at 7 p.m. and Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 each available at the door. Advance tickets are available at the FVCC Bookstore on Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by calling 756-3814. “Dracula: The Musical?” is appropriate for all audiences.
