The Columbia Falls Lions Club meets at 6:30 a.m. on the first and third Thursdays each month at the Back Room, in the same building as the Nite Owl Restaurant. Contact a Lions Club member for information about joining the organization.

Friday

Three churches in Columbia Falls — United Methodist, Our Savior’s Lutheran and St. Richard’s Catholic — are holding a joint Good Friday service at noon Friday, April 10 at United Methodist Church. The church is located at 117 2nd St. W. Members of all three churches are welcome to attend.

Saturday

North Valley Eagles hosts their annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 11 at Marantette Park in Columbia Falls, beginning at 1 p.m. Youngsters through age 10 are invited to attend. For further information contact Vicki Avsec at 892-2126.

Sunday

The Columbia Falls Lions Club is sponsoring its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 12 at Marantette Park. The hunt for all age groups begins at 1 p.m. sharp. Age groups are 5-and-under, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-12. There will be different areas for each age group.

Monday

The Columbia Falls School District 6 Board of Trustees meets at 7 p.m. Monday, April 13 in the administration building. Action items on the agenda include consideration of cancellation of May 5 elementary and high school district mill levy elections; review of school-by-school accreditation status; and sale of the Eagle school property in Coram. There will also be a legislative update.

Tuesday

The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce holds its monthly membership meeting at noon Tuesday, April 14 at the North Valley Hospital Community Center. Members and guests are welcome to attend. The luncheon cost is $10, including gratuity.

Columbia Falls High School will hold parent-teacher conferences Tuesday, April 14 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the high school. Parents are asked to pick up their students’ report cards in the CFHS office.

Ruder Elementary will hold its annual book fair fundraiser Tuesday, April 14 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, April 16 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. in the school’s library. All ages are encouraged to attend the book fair.

Wednesday

The Columbia Falls Rotary Club meets at noon each Wednesday at the Back Room on U.S. Highway 2. For further information about the club, call Mark Riffey at 249-0307.
