Ski club says thanks

The Big Mountain Ski Club would like to thank everyone who made this year's annual ski sale & swap on November 8th such a great success.

Special thanks to The Wave and staff for the use of the gym. What an awesome facility! Thanks, too, to the local media for their support, especially the Whitefish Pilot, the Daily Inter Lake and KAJ TV.

As a non-profit organization, the Big Mountain Ski Club could not function without the many volunteers who donate their time and talents. Thanks to everyone who helped with the sale. Some of our members (Sally Porcarelli and Jessie and Don Harring) have been active and involved with the club since its inception more than 35 years ago.

Aside from providing free lessons through our Learn-to-Ski program — with the help and support of Whitefish Mountain Resort — the Big Mountain Ski Club donates profits from the ski sale to the DREAM ski program, the winter Special Olympics, the Glacier Nordic Club and other area ski-related programs and organizations.

Thanks again to our community for supporting the sale and our efforts in making winter recreational opportunities available and affordable for everyone.
