Millie Loveall

Former Columbia Falls resident Millie Piper Loveall, 94, died Nov. 5, 2008 ,in Spokane, Wash. She was born on June 29, 1914, in Edgar to Elmer and Blanche Coffman.

Millie is survived by her three children, Howard Piper of Columbia Falls; Gene Piper of North Bend, Neb.; and Janice Buzzell and husband DeWayne of Spokane, Wash. She had 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Millie was very active in the United Methodist Church in Columbia Falls and Fowler Methodist in Spokane, Wash. She was a lifetime member of Royal Neighbors Lodge.

A memorial service for Millie will be attended by family and friends at a later date.

Orville Aaberg

Orville O. Aaberg, 82, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at the Tucson Medical Center Hospice (Peppi's House) in Tucson, Ariz. He was born July 19, 1926, in Bemidji, Minn., the son of Theodore and Helga Aaberg.

Orville was raised and educated in Bemidji and graduated from high school in 1944. He served in the Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. After his discharge in 1946, he returned to Minnesota and attended a local business school. Later, he and his family relocated to Montana when D.C. Dunham established the Plum Creek Lumber Company in Columbia Falls.

In 1955, Orville and Marcia L. Mansfield were married in Missoula. They were blessed with four children. Orville lived in Columbia Falls from 1949 to 1994 while working for several local lumber mills (Plum Creek Lumber, Stoltz Lumber, Rocky Mountain Lumber and Louisiana Pacific) as well as the First Citizen's Bank until his retirement in 1994.

After his retirement, Orville and Marcia began traveling around the United States and Canada in their RV, making many friends along the way. In 2003, they moved from Montana (giving up full-time RVing) and settled down in Tucson, Ariz.

Orville had many hobbies. He use to big game hunt and fish with his children. He loved carpentry and wood working, sometimes working for days or weeks on projects from wooden pliers to building desks. He also loved RVing across the United States with his wife, Marcia.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Darryl.

Orville is survived by his wife, Marcia; daughter Alicia (Don) McDonald of Rapid City S.D.; sons Dulane Aaberg of Austin, Texas, and Rick (Tina) of Tucson, Ariz.; sister Delores Theis of Kalispell; grandchildren Luuk and Mellisa of Portland, Ore., and Benjamin and Derrick of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews living in Montana.

A memorial service is planned at Trail's West social hall Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Hal Cowart officiating.

The family has suggested that memorials be made to the Tucson Medical Center Hospice (Peppi's House), 5301 E. Grand Road, Tucson, AZ 85712.
