Bigfork Elves called to duty

GENERAL ORDER #1

The purpose of the active duty call is to prepare for the decorating by gathering the many trees needed to decorate the town for the Holiday Season and to service the thousands of lights that will be used.

Report to the Flathead Lake Lodge on November 15 at 8 a.m. for breakfast, thanks to Meadow Gold, Boyds, Sysco and Food Services of America for their donations.

? 8:45 a.m. Tree gathering, Brief outline on areas we will be cutting and the rules that need to be followed. Trucks of all sizes are also needed, chainsaws, axes, kids welcome, for a morning of tree cutting in the woods.

? 8:45 a.m. Bulb twisting, those who will be working on lights, etc. will stay at the Flathead Lake Lodge and Tree Gatherers will proceed to the woods.

Contributions to the Bigfork Elves, may be sent to the Bigfork Elves bank account c/o Flathead Bank, PO Box 308 in Bigfork. Old lights need to be replaced and more decorations purchased. All donations are gratefully appreciated and they are tax deductible.

Active duty should be finished around noon and the elves will be dismissed to enjoy the Holidays!

Remember, come rain, hail, sleet, snow, or freezing weather, the job of the elves continues!

"D" DAY (BIGFORK DECORATING DAY) - NOVEMBER 22

? 8 a.m. Assemble at the Bigfork Inn for sweet rolls, coffee, hot chocolate and fellowship

8-8:15 a.m.

?Announcements and work Assignments

?Meet flight leaders and sign up to assist in different areas

8 a.m.

?Decorating boxes will be located on a trailer at the Bigfork Inn.

?Please return your empty boxes to the Old Firehall.

?Photo in front of the Bigfork Inn.

8:30-Noon Pick up supplies and start decorating!

Noon Gather at the Inn for chili, hot chocolate, etc. - a special thank you to the Lady Lions, Bigfork Masonic Lodge, Boyds Coffee and David May of the Bigfork Inn.

12:30 - ? Finish decorating the town and clean up - leaving the town cleaner than we started!

A few notes:

? Returning Elves: Don't forget your Elf Hat!! We can only provide new elves with hats.

?You must have your insignia of rank to receive a promotion.

Each business please provide: Wire cutters, tie wire, screw driver, step ladder, staple gun with staples, pliers, twine, broom, shovel, garbage bags, bulb tester and extension cords.
