The wins just keep coming for the Whitefish Bulldog tennis teams. On Thursday evening in Columbia Falls, the Bulldogs completed their season sweep of the Wildcats.

On the boys side, Whitefish swept the singles bracket to earn a 6-1 Western A tennis dual victory. The young men of Whitefish remain undefeated on the year.

Ian Hosek, Trey Legrandeur and Zach Deister all won in straight sets for Whitefish. On the doubles side, Matt Harris and Brendan Viscomi and Kyle Jacobson and Ryan Rottenbiller took their matches.

In the No. 3 doubles bracket, Wildcats Tim Spencer and Vadim Zyvegelskey won the only match for Columbia Falls, as Whitefish didn't have two varsity players to fill that spot, according to head coach Kathy Cummings.

"Everybody's doing fine," Cummings said. "We finished strong. We can improve on some things. Serving is always a problem. We need to work on speed, placement and accuracy."

The Lady Bulldogs took care of the Wildkats 7-0 with straight-set sweeps in both doubles and singles action.

In the No. 1 singles action, Whitefish senior Brielle Menegazzi got a fight from Sarah Marcielle but was able to pull away for the win 6-4, 6-2.

At the No. 2 singles spot, Kate Klundt easily dropped Lydia Freeman 6-0, 6-0. Turkish exchange student Almira Sekerci defeated Wildkat Sara Lukin 6-1, 6-0 to complete the singles sweep of the Columbia Falls girls.

At the No. 1 doubles spot, Whitefish's McCara Cullen and Meredith Reed paired up for a 6-3, 6-4 win over Stephanie Raymond and Franki Anderson.

Steffi Osland and Becca Rosar earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Aysia Potter and Pepper Borland, while Anne Miller and Chelsi Bergensmith of Whitefish rounded out the doubles sweep with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Lexie Bartkoski and Marissa Getts.

The tennis squad travels to Bigfork on Friday (tomorrow). The divisional tournament in Columbia Falls will be held Thursday-Saturday, May 15-17.
