William Schwegel

William Schwegel, 81, of Columbia Falls, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008, at the Montana Veterans Home.

He was born March 22, 1927, to Mike and Tillie Schwegel in St. Joseph, Minn.

Art entered the Air Force in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1953.

He was married to Betty Gross on Sept. 10, 1952. They moved to the Whitefish area in 1956, where he worked in the timber industry.

Art is survived by his wife Betty, of Columbia Falls; children Frank, of Walden, Colo., Cathy Henson and husband Roe, of Tubac, Ariz., and Susan Armstrong and husband Don, of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren Sheila Colton and husband Joe, of Hampton, Va., Nathan, of Troy, Zane Henson and wife Shannon, of Tubac, Ariz., and Tanner Henson, of Tucson; and a brother, Albert, of Whitefish.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the VFW Lounge, in Whitefish.
