Grilley honored as Class A all-state pick

Nolan, Getts, Ladenburg have been named to all-conference hoop squads.

Columbia Falls High School senior Chase Grilley has been elected to the Class A All-State Boys Basketball Team for the 2007-08 season. Grilley was also named Northwestern A first-team all-conference.

Two Wildcats were named to the all-conference second team — Mackey Nolan and Grant Getts. Senior Chase Fairbank is an all-conference honorable mention selection.

Joining Grilley from the Northwestern A Conference on the all-state team are Whitefish junior Colt Idol and Libby senior Jim Mee.

Grilley was a total team player, leading the Wildcats in scoring, assists and steals. He ranked second in the conference during the regular season in steals at 2.94 per game and in assists at 4.94 per game. Using his great floor sense, Grilley found open teammates all over the court. He averaged 17 points per game, ranking him fourth in the league. Grilley was fourth in rebounds at 6.39 per contest. He finished fourth in two-point field goals efficiency at 52.7 percent.

Getts ranked seventh in the conference in rebounds at 4.89 per game. Fairbank was third in assists with 4.11 per game.

CFHS junior Alyssa Ladenburg was elected to the Northwestern A all-conference second team. Sophomore teammate Kelsey DeWit was named all-conference honorable mention.

Ladenburg ranked seventh in assists at 2.39 per game during the regular season. DeWitt led the league in rebounding with 9.12 per contest. She was third in blocks (1.41 per game) and sixth in two-point field goal percentage (44.8).
