Hader, Fairbank, Grilley, Marcille to CFHS Hall of Fame

Four graduating seniors have been inducted into the Columbia Falls High School Athletic Hall of Fame. They are Sarah Marcille, Chase Fairbank, Michael Hader and Chase Grilley.

Here are the accomplishments of the four student-athletes:

Sarah Marcille — 2008 Dumay Award winner; 2008 Army Reserve National Scholar/Athlete Award; earned 11 varsity letters and was MCA academic all-state 11 times; tennis, four-time state tournament qualifier; all-conference all four years; team most valuable player 2007 and 2008; team captain 2008; basketball, team captain, received spirit and defensive MVP awards 2007-08; volleyball, all-conference 2007, team captain and MVP; speech and debate, third place at the divisional tournament 2008, sixth place at state.

Chase Fairbank — 10-time varsity letter winner; outstanding freshmen award 2005; football, all-conference first-team defensive back and second-team wide receiver, and all-state defensive back 2007; 2007 Sapa Award; East-West Shrine Game selection; basketball, all-conference honorable mention 2007 and 2008; Playmaker Award 2007; co-captain 2008; member of 2006 state championship team; track, all-conference 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 in high jump and 400 relay; all-state 2008 400 relay.

Michael Hader — 2008 U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award; football, all-conference first-team linebacker 2007, honorable mention 2005, 2006; all-state linebacker 2007; all-conference second-team fullback 2007; team captain 2006, 2007; defensive MVP 2007; East-West Shrine Game selection 2007; wrestling, all-state third place 2008, state champion 2007, fourth place 2006, second place 2005; all-conference, divisional champion 2006, 2007, 2008; Spud Snyder Award 2007; team captain 2006, 2007, 2008; outstanding senior 2008; team record holder in most takedowns, most pins, most near falls.

Chase Grilley — Football, all-conference first-team tight end and defensive end 2007; all-state tight end 2007; Johnsrud Award winner 2007; East-West Shrine Game selection 2007; basketball, all-conference first-team 2007, 2008; all-state 2008; most valuable player 2007, 2008; defensive award 2007, 2008; co-captain 2008.
