Larry Olson

Larry Olson, 61, of Havre died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre, with his sister Connie and brother-in-law Larry at his bedside. Larry died of lengthy illnesses which he had suffered from for most of his life. He gave life a valiant fight.

Larry was born March 14, 1947 to Henry and Mary Olson in Havre. He attended school in Havre, graduating in 1965. Larry was a proud member of the Squires Bank from Havre. They played throughout Montana and the Northwest in the 1960s.

Larry served four years in the United States Navy, which led him to Vietnam. Larry then went to work for the Great Northern Railway as an engineer, retiring due to illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Olson; brother, Art Olson; and nephew, Levi Lund.

Survivors include his son, Aaron, and a daughter Aubrey; sister Connie (Larry) Lund of Havre; and nephew Clint (Sarah) Lund of Billings.

Memorial services were held Saturday, June 28 at the Hill County Cemetery, and was officiated by Rowlie Hutton. Cremation has taken place. A potluck dinner was held after the service at the home of Larry & Connie Lund in Havre.
