David Gogolak

David Gogolak, (lovingly known as Gogo), 36, of Whitefish, formerly of San Francisco and Darien, Conn., died Jan. 13, 2008.

David graduated from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University in 1997 and went on to co-found Hobson’s Choice (a Victorian punch house in San Francisco) as well as San Francisco-based Asqew Grill Restaurant Company.

His passion for life was famous and largely exuded through his outdoor pursuits, his love for culinary creations and his love of people.

He is widely regarded by all who knew him as a person larger than life, someone who always had a kind word for everyone he met, for his love and devotion to his family and friends, and a sense of humor that had no boundaries.

He is survived by his wife Nicole, their two children, Graylin and Johnny; his parents Peter and Kathy; and his brother Tommy, of Darien.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008 (today), at 11 a.m. at Whitefish United Methodist Church, 1150 Wisconsin Avenue, in Whitefish.
