Ferndale man died of gunshot wounds

The Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating the New Year's Eve death of a 24-year-old Ferndale man as a homicide, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Clyde Wilson was found dead in his cabin on Meadow Creek Road after authorities were called to the scene at 5:38 a.m. on Dec. 31.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday in a news release that Wilson died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. The FBI is assisting in some evidence examination and the Sheriff's Office has identified several persons of interest in the case.

Evidence from the scene was taken to the State Crime Lab in Missoula for processing.
