Thanks for trails

| February 7, 2008 10:00 PM

We had the enjoyment of cross-country skiing at Round Meadows Ski Trail, off of Star Meadows Road this week.

The snow was just about perfect and all the trails were well groomed. We are all very fortunate to live in an area that has such a wonderful free-to-use amenity.

All of us who enjoy cross-country skiing and use the Round Meadow area owe a special thank you to two very generous men who volunteer their personal time and energy to groom the trails at Round Meadows on a regular basis.

Jerry Osborne, of Whitefish, and Ed Sohl, from Kalispell, both volunteer numerous hours each week keeping the trails in great condition.

When you ski Round Meadows and it has a fresh groomed corduroy track laid out, you will know one or both of these guys have just spent 4-5 hours or more of their time making a great ski track for us.

Thank you Jerry and Ed, we sure appreciate it.
