Support in 2009

| February 7, 2008 10:00 PM

I would like to thank the voters for placing their trust in me by electing me to the House of Representatives in the past 2007 legislative session.

During the session, I served on the House Appropriations Committee and the Joint Senate and House Budget Committee. In the interim, I sit on the Legislative Audit Committee, overseeing agency spending and compliance to state law. Also, I serve on the Information and Technology Board.

A great deal more must be done to justify the faith of Montana residents in their legislature. As a governing body, we must come together to meet the challenges facing our state, and I am resolved to do just that.

I have taken an oath not to add or increase taxes. I will continue to stand for smaller government, reduction in regulations that burden businesses, strong private property rights, educational freedom to choose, promote family values, responsible development of our natural resources, reduction of real property taxes, affordable health care and meeting our veterans' needs.

There will be many more obstacles to address in the 2009 session, and I ask for your support to represent you in Helena.
