Leave sign alone

So now what? A painted ice cream cone on a shop that sells ice cream cones. So what?

It is a work of art by the Stumptown Art Society, as they have painted murals on the walls of many a business throughout town. What is the difference?

I view this as a depiction of what Whitefish used to be, freedom of expression, freedom of choice and freedom of view. This humble ice cream shop is one of the last icons of a town that is all but lost.

Those educated and in appointed positions make judgments, but why? To ensure the rules are met? Who makes the rules? And at what cost? An ice cream cone, really?

Attention should be made toward the cleanliness of our sidewalks downtown, especially outside of the downtown bars.

Aside of your busy schedule, stop in some time and have a cone. My favorite is licorice. Meet the people, talk, but eat before the ice cream melts onto your hands.

So what if it does. At least you were there.
