Babe Ruth

| August 14, 2008 11:00 PM

Once again we were able to follow the state 13-year-old Babe Ruth championship team to a Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament. This year it was held in Kelso, Wash.

We have to tell you how proud we can all be of the young men who represented Montana. They played with heart and perseverance despite an injury-plagued team.

Coaches, Eric May, Kevin Slaybaugh and Blair La Grandeur and trainer John Kalbfleisch are some of the most dedicated individuals we have ever met.

The Glacier Prep team is comprised of boys from Bigfork, Columbia Falls and Whitefish. Again, the communities rallied to support the traveling expenses that allowed them to experience the next level of baseball.

We couldn't be prouder of all of you who made it possible. Thanks for the memories.
