Dog park needs help

| March 29, 2007 11:00 PM

If you want to have an off-leash dog park in Whitefish, put Monday, April 2, at 7:10 p.m. at the Whitefish City Council Chambers, Second Street and Baker Avenue, on your calendar.

Our city council will be viewing the proposed master plan for Armory Park, which will include nearly five acres designated as a safe and legal venue for dog owners to recreate with their pets.

Your support at this time is crucial to the success of this project. Please come, bring friends. Speak if you want, or just be there.

If you cannot make the meeting, e-mail city clerk Necile Lorang (nlorang@cityof whitefish.org) before 4 p.m. April 27 and your thoughts will be relayed to the city council.

This is probably the most important time for action if you want to see this park become a reality.
