Basketball players grateful

| March 22, 2007 11:00 PM

We would like to take this chance to thank the community for their continuing support of our basketball program, and most importantly sticking with us through the good and the bad as our season progressed.

At the beginning of the season, our goals of winning fell short, and many believed it would be another year of bad teams, but with your continuing support and encouragement, we pulled out of our rut and came out on top.

Without the community's support and encouragement, many of our players would not have gained the confidence they had toward the end of the season.

Many of you know about the winning tradition that Whitefish has had throughout the years, and your attendance at the games cheering us on is a huge part to any success that a team has.

With the end of this season, we have hopefully re-established Whitefish as a dominant power in the area. We would also like to recognize the Whitefish High School band and our crazy and loud student section for their amazing job all season long. You may never know how much your cheering meant to us, especially to us seniors who ended our basketball career with a divisional championship in a packed gym at home.

Long live Whitefish High School boys basketball.
