Seeks support

Hello, my name is Jonathan Cameron. I am a 16-year-old participating in a week-long mission trip to Queens, New York. Joining me will be 17 other students and five adults, all attendees of Christ Lutheran Church, in Whitefish.

As you could expect, sending 22 people that far is not an inexpensive undertaking. That is why we are asking you, the community of Whitefish, to consider helping us achieve our financial goals in preparation for this mission.

The scheduled dates for the trip are from June 30 to July 7 this coming summer. It will be an opportunity for us to spread God's love to those who may not know Him.

Upon arriving, we will join with several other groups from different churches, each of varying denomination. In previous years, we have worked with homeless shelters kids clubs and assisted-living homes, built houses and done a variety of community services.

The experiences we have had through helping others have been eye-opening and life-changing and we look forward to the experiences God has planned for us in the future.

The organization in charge of the trip is called Youthworks. They help to organize youth groups from around the country to meet and work together in impoverished areas throughout the U.S. and beyond.
