Race success

| July 26, 2007 11:00 PM

I am the race coordinator for this year's adventure relay, the Glacier Challenge, held at Riverside Park in Whitefish.

This race is an important fundraiser for our local youth shelter, the Flathead Attention Home, and this year we raised more funds than all previous races combined.

It was a great opportunity to raise some much needed operational funds and let our community know a bit more about our work with at-risk youth.

We would like to say an enormous thank you to our sponsors, particularly the Kalispell Daybreak Rotary, Qdoba Mexican Grill, and Teletech. Without their support, we could not have put this race on.

We also want to say a big thanks to our racers who gathered at a crazy early hour to compete in our race. No racers, no race.

And finally, thanks to the city of Whitefish Parks and Recreational Department for allowing us the use of Riverside Park. It was a great venue to host this year's Glacier Challenge.
