The fence and immigrant deaths

To Jim Ramlow, congratulations. You just wrote one of the best letters on immigration I have read in any paper.

Most of the illegal immigrants I worked with in California just want to raise their families in a safe clean environment, and they work very hard to do so.

When the "fence" was built by President Bill Clinton, the only thing it did was increase the deaths of illegals crossing the border through the desert.

I believe the death toll is actually higher than the death toll from the total time the Berlin Wall was up.
