Imagine Health hosts open house

You are invited to celebrate the "Birth of Imagine Health Wellness and Wisdom Center" in downtown Columbia Falls on Thursday, Sept. 6. The event runs from 12:14 to 6:44 p.m. at 305 1st Ave. W., behind Whitefish Credit Union on Nucleus Avenue.

Practitioners at Imagine Health will be on hand to meet guests. The afternoon includes demonstrations, music and dance. Refreshments will be available. There is no charge to attend and everyone is welcome.

Chamber BBQ, Golf Scramble set Sept. 9

The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce is hosting its end-of-the-summer barbecue and golf scramble on Sunday, Sept. 9 at Glacier View Golf Course in West Glacier.

This is an opportunity to make it an outing for employees and their families as chamber members get together and have some fun. The barbecue is being held this fall rather than a winter banquet, according to the Chamber.

The golf scramble begins at 2 p.m. and the cost is $12 per person. The barbecue starts at 4 p.m. and features a steak or chicken dinner with all the trimmings for $15 per person. A bar will be available for alcoholic beverages.

NV Music classes begins fall session

North Valley Music School in Whitefish, celebrating its 10th year of serving the Flathead Valley, begins its fall group classes the week of Sept. 10.

Music Together(R) offers children from birth to 4 and their parent or caregiver a chance to experience songs, chants, movement activities and instrumental jam sessions. Weekly classes are held Monday, Tuesday or Thursday mornings at a cost of $95 for a 10-week session.

Music Jamboree! provides 4- to 6-year-olds with rhythm, song, dance and instrument exploration. Weekly classes are offered Wednesdays or Thursdays from 1 to 1:45 p.m. at a cost of $60 for a 10-week session.

New this fall is Piano Readiness which prepares 3- to 5-year-olds (and their parents) for the fundamentals of playing the piano. The cost is $60 for a 10-week session.

Children's Choir is offered on Wednesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. for first- to third-graders and 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. for fourth- to sixth-graders. The cost is $40 for a 12-week session.
