Nadine Lillie (Nevins) Quilling

Private family services will be held at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Bigfork, MT for Nadine Lillie (Nevins) Quilling, age 81, of Choteau who died Wednesday, Nov. 15th at her home in Choteau from natural causes. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder Funeral Home of Choteau.

She was born December 28, 1924 in Sidney, MT, the daughter of Frank and Lillie (Bahls) Nevins. She attended schools at Three Buttes, Sidney High School and Business College in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She was married to Gordon Quilling on July 2, 1944 in Denver, CO.

She was a homemaker, seamstress and the greatest cook, baker and cake decorator. We loved her bread and rolls and her strawberry jam, sweet pickles, caramel popcorn were everyone's favorite.

Nadine as a band mother, member of the PTA, knitting Clubs, Garden Clubs, Friendship Circle and Birthday Club. She was also a member of the Choteau Senior Center where she helped in the Cellerama, was a board member and columnist. She also was an election judge and was dedicated to her church and her faith. Her favorite flower was the red Rose and her favorite songs were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace". Her favorite color was lavender/purple and her smile was her trademark.

She is survived by daughters: Jan Quilling March of Colstrip, MT, Colette Yeager and Kim Yeager of Choteau, MT; sons: Douglas Quilling of Savage, MT and Paul Quilling of Sidney, MT; brother: Joe Nevins of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren: Shane Quilling, Leigh Merritt, Nikki Patton, George G. Groesbeck, Jana Mussard, Calie Mayte, Casie, Nickey and Justin Quilling, Camie Fitzgerald, Douglas Yeager, Jennifer McGovern, Daniel Yeager, Brant Yeager, Dustin Yeager, Jeffrey Yeager, Chad Quilling and Kari Jones; 26 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband: Gordon M. Quilling, her parents, a son: Steven B. Quilling and brothers: Roland and Orlo Nevins.
