| November 22, 2006 10:00 PM

Michael J. Sperry, 46, of Columbia Falls, died peacefully in his home Nov. 9, 2006.

Mike was born in Plainview, Texas, on April 21, 1960, the son of Jeff and Renee Sperry. Mike's childhood was spent in Anniston, Ala., where he attended and graduated from high school.

After graduation, Mike moved to Texas where he lived for a few years until he met his first wife, Marilyn. He then moved to Fortine, where he resided for 15 years with his three kids, Kayleen, Kris, Jason and wife, and started working for Plum Creek. After his divorce he moved to Whitefish where he met his second wife, Ellen.

For the next few years, he was employed at many establishments in the local area and helped raise his son Micah. After his second divorce he moved to Columbia Falls, where he worked and became active in the church.

Mike was a hard worker with a heart of gold who always had a smile and a supportive hand for all those who were in need of it. He found nothing more relaxing than spending time with his family and friends.

Mike died unexpectedly. His loss is felt greatly by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter Kayleen and granddaughter Rileigh, of Kalispell; son Kris, of Fort Lewis, Wash.; son Jason, spouse Amanda and grandchildren Domanic, Paige and Anthony, of Beale Air Force Base, Calif.; son Micah, of Columbia Falls; mother and father Jeff and Renee, of Anniston, Ala.; sister Vanessa, spouse Tim, and niece and nephew Josh and Jesse, of Birmingham, Ala.; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

His family thanks everyone for all their thoughts, prayers and support through this trying time.

A memorial service was held Nov. 17, 2006, at the Crossroads Church in Columbia Falls.
