Mary Block Schaub

Mary Schaub of Bigfork died April 17, 2006. She was born Jan. 2,1922 in Passaic, N.J.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Mary and Robert Block, her husband Daniel of 57 years, and one grandson. She is survived locally by her daughter Joanne Cawley and husband Bob, grandsons Bob, Jim and Patrick and also a great granddaughter,Madeline.

Mary and Dan had four children, Dan Schaub of New Jersey, Chris and Bob Cook of Virginia, Rosemary and Ray Chait of Florida and Joanne.

She also has one sister Anne and George Knothe in Florida. Grandchildren include Kim, David, Adam (deceased), Jennifer, Melinda, Elizabeth, Dan, Katie, Bob, Jim, Patrick, Susan, Steven and Scott.

Great-grandchildren include Eva Chait, Grace and Jonas Cawley, Madeline Cawley, Jason and Jake Cawley, Noah Hull, and Cassidy Rose Waterman.

Mary lived in Crestview for five years and had many loving friends including Eloise, Jewel and Cora.

She was a member of Pope John II Catholic Church in Bigfork. Mary had a deep abiding faith and great affection for Deacon Jim Butts, Monsignor Shea, and seminarian Marc Lenneman. Also included in her affection were Marge and John who visited and brought her communion faithfully.

Mary passed away peacefully at Heritage Place in Kalispell surrounded by her loving daughters.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated April 18, 2006 in Bigfork. Interment at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
