Farrell Couch

Farrell "FCC" Couch passed away June 30, 2006, of natural causes.

FCC was born March 14, 1931, in Midland, Utah, the oldest of 14 children born to George and Melba Couch.

He was raised in Utah. Upon graduating from high school, he joined and served in the Army. After he left the Army, he married and raised four children, and later remarried and welcomed four stepchildren into his life. He moved to Missoula, Montana in the 1970s, where he worked for the railroad, and in 1988 he moved to Whitefish, where he retired from the railroad after 37 years.

FCC enjoyed and treasured spending time with his family. He loved playing the piano, singing, playing cards and shooting pool. He once said he played and sang with the Lawrence Welk band.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Melba; a brother Michael; and a sister Doris.

He is survived by his wife Midge, of Whitefish; daughters Denise Looney and Deborah Couch, of Seattle, Wash., Sheryl, of Milwaukee, Wis., and Lori Couch, of Whitefish; stepchildren Ron Strait, Ray Strait and Sandy Raines, all of Kennewick, Wash., and Arleen Ingraham, of Whitefish; brothers Sherman, Myrl Lee, Pat, Paul, David, James, Jerry and Keith; sisters Carol, Lynn and Sharon; 19 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service held at the home of Arleen and Ervin Ingraham on Friday, July 7, 2006, at 4 p.m. For directions, call 862-7868.
