A long line of corrupt leaders

| August 24, 2006 11:00 PM

I have been interested in politics ever since Hoover blew the whistle, Mellon rang the bell, Wall Street gave the signal and the country went to hell.

Since that time, we have had many corrupt administrations.

I recall Eisenhower being a do-nothing president, Nixon and his Watergate scandal, and Vice President Agnew being indicted, Reagan and his Iran Contra scandal, with Oliver North, "a marine," selling arms to Iran, after they were involved in the bombing in Beirut killing 250 marines, and George Bush Sr. and the savings and loan scandal. I wonder if his son ever paid the government back?

And then there is George Bush Jr. and Enron, Halliburton and a war started with his ego and lies. Now, is there anyone who wouldn't be proud to be a liberal Democrat?
