Dorothy Brumbeloe Johnson

Dorothy Brumbeloe Johnson, 86, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, Montana. She was born on June 22, 1920 in Roanoke, Alabama to James Bracy and Anne Haden (Reid) Brumbeloe.

Dorothy grew up in Atlanta, Georgia where she received her education, graduating and continuing on to secretarial school. She married Lyman Augustus Johnson, Jr. in Atlanta. She was a mother, housewife and a businesswoman. In 1997 Dorothy moved to the Flathead Valley to be near her daughter in Bigfork.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; her mother; and one brother: James Thomas Brumbeloe.

She is survived by two daughters: Carole Mason and husband Charlie of Bigfork and Delene Darst and husband Giles of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons: Lyman A. Johnson Jr. and wife Jeannine of Pinehurst, N.C.; and Jarrell A. Johnson and wife Kathryn of Atlanta, GA; one sister: Betty B. Smyly of Chesterfield, Missouri; one brother: Haden B. Brumbeloe and wife Lillian of Auburn, CA; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Dorothy will be at a later date.
