Wilderness fund-raiser a success

The Bob Marshall Foundation and Swan Ecosystem Center would like to thank the community of Whitefish, volunteers and businesses in western Montana for making our annual fund-raising event a success.

The annual "Celebration of Wilderness: A Fund-raiser for the Care of the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wilderness" took place at the O'Shaughnessy Center on April 6.

We'd like to thank the following Whitefish businesses for making a contribution to our event: Sportsman Ski House, Whitefish Army Navy, Mi Casa Pottery, A Simple Chef, Walking Man Frame Shop, Stumptown Snowboards, Outback Ski Shack, Montana Coffee Traders, Cowgirl Coffee, The Big Mountain, Runner Up Sports, The Backdoor Kitchen Store, Stumptown Anglers, The Clip Joint, Miller's Tillers, Alpine Animal Hospital, and The Toggery. We would especially like to thank Spotted Bear Ranch for their very generous donation for the grand prize for our raffle.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone who attended our event and to the O'Shaughnessy Center for hosting the event and all of the technical support. We send out an extra special thanks to Douglas Chadwick, who presented a great program on whales and wolverines for our program that evening.
