Bazaar

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is having its bazaar and lunch Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 640 7th St. West. Bazaar is hosted by the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Call Barb Anderson at 892-4053.

Glacier Gateway

Glacier Gateway will hold its annual holiday concerts on Dec. 2 at the High School Little Theater. From 9:15 to 10 a.m. it's Mrs. Cogliati's, Mohn's, Myett's, Good's and Bouton's class. From 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. it's Rogers, Padgetts, McDermotts, Johnsons and Moylan's class. From 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. it's Branstetter's, Casazza's, Layton's, Bocksnick's, Masa's Anello's and Bartlett's class.

Bird trip

The Flathead Audubon Society is sponsoring a birding field trip to the Mission Valley on Saturday, Nov. 19. Raptors from the north wing their way here every year, as well as other winter denisons. Meet at the Park ‘n Ride at Highways 93 and 82 at 8:30 a.m. Bring lunch, binoculars or scope, walkie-talkies, if you have them, and dress warmly. Contact Bob Rost for details at 837-2255.

Driver's ed

The winter driver education classes start Dec. 12 at Columbia Falls High School. Call 892-6500 extension 0 to sign up.

Toastmasters

The next Columbia Falls Toastmaster's meeting will be Monday Nov. 21 from noon to 1 p.m. The meetings are being held at the City Hall council chambers. Public is welcome to attend. For more information please contact Kristi Hatfield 892-2868 or Roger Newman 892-3113.

Quilters meet

Teakettle Quilters will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat. Nov. 19 at North Valley Community Center. Community Project will be Children's Quilt Bags. Please bring supplies and sewing machines. A demo of the first Block of the Month will also be given. Visitors welcome. For more information, call 892-5391.

Book signing

Baxter Owen Graham of Whitefish is the author of Old King Stinky Toes, a children's book he wrote when he was just 11. Graham is having a book signing event at Border's in Kalispell Nov. 19 at 3 p.m.

Student of the week

Tim Chopper, a freshman at Columbia Falls High School, has been selected Student of the Week for Nov. 14. He was nominated because he has made great strides in his reading class. Tim continues to demonstrate great personal responsibility at school and at home and he is a positive influence on his peers. The high school faculty and staff make nominations for student of the week. Tim is the son of Eric and Cindy Chopper of Columbia Falls and receives a personal pan pizza compliment of Pizza Hut.

Night of lights

The annual Night of Lights parade is scheduled for Dec. 2 in Columbia Falls. Parade is at 6:30 p.m. down Nucleus.
