Water quality

| November 10, 2005 10:00 PM

My husband Don and I have been long, long time Whitefish residents. We live on the west shore of the lake.

We are very familiar with the wetlands along Wisconsin Ave. Through the years, we have become increasingly aware of the role these wetlands play on the water quality of Whitefish Lake.

The wetlands are a necessary water shed from Big Mountain and must not be disturbed. Without the wetlands, the water quality of Whitefish Lake would be adversely affected. Development of the wetlands will cause contamination of Whitefish Lake through water runoff into Monk's Bay.

Whitefish Lake provides scenic beauty, a home for abundant wild life and a grand "sports arena" — it is part of all of our water source.

We must preserve the quality of our beautiful lake.

Stop development around the lake as the master plan allows.
