Margaret Munson

Margaret Annette (DesRosier) Munson, 69, of Columbia Falls, died of cancer March 21, 2005, at the family home.

Annette was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Browning to Helen King (McCourt) and Joseph Stuart DesRosier. She attended schools in Browning, graduating in 1953. She also attended Holy Names Academy in Spokane and the University of Montana in Missoula.

She worked in the banking field in Browning, Great Falls, Denver and San Diego. She married Jerry Albert Munson on June 17, 1961, at the Little Flower Parish Church in Browning. They lived in Browning, Scobey and Cut Bank before moving to Columbia Falls in 1972.

She worked for School District 6 in special education until retiring in 1996. She was also a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, reading, traveling, crafts, dancing, crossword puzzles, music and attending all her children's meets, matches, games and performances. Time spent with her good friends was one of her favorite things.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brother Jim DesRosier; her sisters Sr. Frances DesRosier and Patricia Bergman; and a niece and a nephew.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Jerry, of Columbia Falls; a daughter, Jill Munson, of Fort Benton; sons Joe, of Missoula, Erik, of Albuquerque, N.M., Keith (Kelly), of Yuma, Ariz., and Kurt (Sylvie), of Menominee, Minn.; grandchildren Alex Wigger, of Fort Benton, Maisy and Mallory Munson, of Yuma, and Gisele Munson, of Menominee; sisters Jane Shook, of Albany, Ore., and Mary Lou (Mitchell) Babcock, of Whitefish; brothers Peter (Karen) DesRosier, of Drummond, and David (Cindy) DesRosier, of Big Sandy; sisters-in-law Joy DesRosier, of Whitehall, JoAnn Glenn, of Great Falls, and Zella (John) Smoak, of Grass Valley, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosary and wake service took place March 27, 2005, at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Columbia Falls. Funeral took place March 28, 2005, at St. Richard's.

Donald Gochanour Jr.

Donald D. Gochanour Jr., 58, was welcomed into Jesus' loving arms on March 5, 2005, in Racine, Wis.

Don was born in Anaconda on Nov. 22, 1946, to Donald D. and Bernice (Moen) Gochanour Sr. Don graduated from Columbia Falls High School in 1966. He then entered the Army and was stationed in Korea from 1968-1969 and was in Vietnam from 1969-1970.

Don was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, two Service Medals for two tours in Vietnam, the Cross of Gallantry, the Campaign Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, six Air Medals, a National Defense Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal for his bravery.

In 1991, Don married the love of his life, Katherine S. Kutzner, of Racine. He was employed as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor.

Don is preceded in death by his father and brother Skip.

Don is survived by his wife Kathy; sons Donald D. Gochanour III and wife, Jenny, of Clinton, Wash., and Aaron Bixby, of Racine; daughter Korina Hammond, of Bellevue, Wash.; mother Bernice Gochanour, of Kalispell; grandsons Shawn Weinberger and Gabriel Bixby and granddaughter Bailey Gochanour; brother Denis Gochanour, of Graham, Wash.; and sisters Cynthia Deist, of Kalispell, Alanna Evans, Denise Dickinson and Gail Bennett, all of Spokane, Wash.
